Lavet på ren Grenache fra 82 år gamle vinstokke i højt beliggende marker med granit i jordbunden. Dyrket økologisk men ikke certificeret. Høstet i hånden og gæret naturligt efter en kold maceration. Presset forsigtigt. Modnet på store foudres af fransk eg i 18 måneder.
Fantastisk vin. Balancen mellem intensitet og lethed, dybde og præcision gør det til virkelig stor vin - intens frugtighed med mineralitet og fine, sarte tanniner. Harmonisk, intens og lang eftersmag. Stort potentiale for lagring men en vin, der altid vil smage godt!
Drikkes til det bedste lam eller gris. Fx til Bellota gris.

Grenache fra gamle stokke plantet i fattig jordbund med granit og sand omkring 800 moh er kernen i produktionen suppleret med knapt så gamle Syrah-stokke samt hvid Grenache fra gamle stokke hvilket er lidt af en sjældenhed i Sierra de Gredos.

The 2020 Viña Escondida comes from their oldest vineyard, an 82-year-old plot in the village of El Real de San VIcente on silt, limestone and granite soils. The Escondida fermented with 100% full clusters with moderate extraction and matured in a 2,000-liter French oak foudre for 18 months. It's always elegant, delicate and floral, looking for the expression of the terroir. It follows the path of the excellent 2018; it has 14.5% alcohol, revealing good ripeness and balance, and a serious, complex and elegant nose with some spiciness, hints of orange peel and violets. It's young but approachable and should also make old bones.

layered red with just the right amount of evolution. Tannins have softened but still offer just
enough bite and despite six years of age, there is still loads of life ahead. Intense yet elegant,
this is simply delicious!
