Patrice Rion, Bourgogne
"Patrice Rion er en af Bourgognes førende og mest fuldkomne vinmagere" skriver Bourgogneeksperten Anthony Hanson i bogen "Burgundy", og rødvinene får topanmeldelser mange steder. Frugtige, elegante og feminine Pinot Noir vine.
Vi startede med at handle med Patrice Rion i 2006 og havde en stor oplevelse da vi smagte hele den fantastiske årgang 2005.

Three plots from the northern end of Comblanchien. Once again an impressively deep but vibrant purple. The nose is a little softer than the Bons Bâtons, with some barrel effect behind. Dark raspberry with a light strawberry touch, and well integrated tannins. - Jasper Morris MW
The 2020 Côte de Nuits-Villages comes from 60-year old vines located in Comblanchien. Scents of cassis and crushed iris flower gently unfurl on the nose - all very seductive. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins, fleshy and forwards, but perhaps not quite the same complexity as the Bon Batons on the finish. Fine. Closure - Diam - Neal Martin
Purchased grapes, mostly coming from old vines in Comblanchien. Mid purple, some engaging fruit of medium ripeness, then fills out the middle palate very well, with exuberant dark cherry notes, well defined tannins and very attractive length. - Jasper Morris MW
The 2019 Côte de Nuits-Villages is tight on the nose, packing plenty of blackberry and raspberry fruit, if not as expressive as the "Bon Baton" at the moment. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins, sweet and slightly candied, revealing orange peel toward the finish. Give this 12–18 months in bottle. - Neal Martin
The 2017 Côtes de Nuits Village comes from the slopes around Comblanchien and is matured in used barrels only. The nose was difficult to read when I tasted it at the domaine, since it had only recently been racked. The palate is more representative, displaying chalky tannin and a fine line of acidity. I appreciate the tension in this Côte de Nuits Village, and the vibrant mineral finish that is above its station. Excellent. - Neal Martin
