Martin Müllen, Mosel
Weingut Martin Müllen kan ikke prale af en århundredelang historie som mange andre topproducenter i Mosel, men til gengæld er der få, der arbejder så ultratraditionelt som man gør hos Martin Müllen.

This Mosel BA has so much lemon, bergamot and passion fruit, plus a crushed-stone quality that’s no less unusual for this category than the aromas. Not that sweet at all, so that it’s probably going to give its best with blue cheese, and definitely isn’t a classic dessert-wine. Serious power and pronounced acidity at the finish.
Picked as early as September 23-24 (25%) and around mid-October, the 2019 Trarbacher Hühnerberg Riesling Beerenauslese "S" is a beautifully clear, precise and flinty Riesling with intense and elegant mirabelle fruit on the nose along with delicate slate aromas. This is a highly finessed, piquant and laser-sharp BA with concise acidity and lingering salinity on the finish. Precise as an ice wine, this was selected in the vineyard, pressed as intact whole clusters in a basket press, cleared by gravity and fermented spontaneously in stainless steel. This is a fantastic BA with immense piquancy. The S represents Säure, which means acidity whose first part was at 20 grams per liter. The two lots were assembled after the fermentation was finished. - Stephan Reinhardt
