Martin Müllen, Mosel
Weingut Martin Müllen kan ikke prale af en århundredelang historie som mange andre topproducenter i Mosel, men til gengæld er der få, der arbejder så ultratraditionelt som man gør hos Martin Müllen.

The 2019er Trarbacher Hühnerberg Riesling Beerenauslese * has a magnificently complex and hugely elegant nose of whipped almond cream, candied pineapple, fresh apricot, mango, acacia honey, fine toffee, guava, and nut paste. The wine proves luscious and fully creamy on the immensely smooth and suave. The finish is almost endless and hugely intense. What a splendid BA, which is all about elegance and smoothness. It even has some upside potential, if it gains in density and playfulness
This smells like essence of white peach, but is also bursting with spring flowers. Enormously succulent, but also with lazerbeam-like focus on the palate, this has so much energy and ends in a firework display of tropical fruit and minerals.
Picked over several days and based on perfectly healthy raisins, the 2019 Trarbacher Hühnerberg Riesling Beerenauslese * was fermented in a traditional oak vat. The wine opens with a precise, aromatic, flinty, highly refined and elegant bouquet of ripe and stewed apricots, peaches and mirabelles. Intense and concentrated on the palate, this is a highly finessed, perfectly balanced and stimulatingly salty BA with a lemon-fresh and crystalline finish that makes this a fabulous and digestible BA of great class and style. Fantastic! - Stephan Reinhardt
