Patrice Rion, Bourgogne
"Patrice Rion er en af Bourgognes førende og mest fuldkomne vinmagere" skriver Bourgogneeksperten Anthony Hanson i bogen "Burgundy", og rødvinene får topanmeldelser mange steder. Frugtige, elegante og feminine Pinot Noir vine.
Vi startede med at handle med Patrice Rion i 2006 og havde en stor oplevelse da vi smagte hele den fantastiske årgang 2005.

The 2017 Nuits Saint-Georges Clos St Marc 1er Cru, which is the domaine's monopole of just under a hectare, contains the same amount of whole bunch fruit as the Clos des Argillières and yet its presence is completely disguised. The fruit here is a little redder on the nose, showing touches of bay leaf and rose petals. The palate is medium-bodied with insistent grip on the entry. This feels quite chalky in texture, not quite as harmonious as the Clos des Argillières, but with more thrust toward the finish. This is another excellent 2017 from Rion. - Neal Martin
The 2016 Nuits Saint-Georges 1er Cru Clos Saint Marc, the monopole owned by the domaine, yielded just four barrels for the hectare of vines. It has an engaging, broody bouquet that draws you in: darker fruit than the Clos des Argillières with sous bois and light morel aromas emerging with aeration. The palate is very well structured, quite compact with a fine line of acidity, grippy in the mouth and obdurate toward the finish. This will require long-term cellaring but it will be worth the wait. - Neal Martin
Tasted blind at the Burgfest tasting in Beaune, the 2013 Nuits Saint-Georges 1er Cru Clos Saint-Marc has a composed bouquet, more red than black fruit with subtle undergrowth notes, quite precise with good definition and vivacity. The palate is bright and fresh with a keen line of acidity, a gentle grip, a spicy vein towards the peppery finish, completing what is an accomplished wine, even if it does miss some persistence. It needs another 2-3 years to fully meld together and it should turn into a very fine wine. Bravo!
