Shows raspberries, pepper and black olives. Medium to full body, round tannins and a fresh, crisp finish. Linear and bright. Classic style

The 2015 Chianti Classico Fabrizio Bianchi is a drop-dead gorgeous beauty. Aromatically expressive and juicy, with no hard edges and exceptional balance, the 2015 is a real head-turner. Juicy red cherry, pipe tobacco, woodsmoke, incense and leather overtones add nuance throughout, but it is the wine's exceptional sense of poise that makes it utterly captivating. The 2015 is a wine of pure and total sensory pleasure. - Antonio Galloni

    89 p. Wine Advocate (2013)

Here's a wine that will appeal to those who love Sangiovese and authentic Tuscan tastes. The 2013 Chianti Classico pushes all the right sensorial buttons. It comes off as clean and variety-specific with tight aromas of wild fruit, cassis, dried blueberries and balsam herb. The wine is lea and compact in the mouth for easy drinking. It offers more in terms of length and persistency than it does heft or concentration. Sangiovese grapes are blended with 10% Canaiolo and 10% Colorino - Monica Larner

    89 p. Vinous (2013)

The 2013 Chianti Classico is delicious. Perfumed, layered and absolutely exquisite in the glass, the 2013 opens with gorgeous layers of fruit to match its silky, super-expressive personality. All the elements fall into place effortlessly. Today, the flavors remain quite youthful, but look for the 2013 to develop greater complexity with a little more time in bottle. I would prefer to drink this distinctly fruity, open-knit Chianti over the next handful of years. - Antonio Galloni

Healthy mid ruby. Crushed sweet strawberries jumping out of the glass. Powdery tannins structuring the long, tight sappy fruit. Still a little closed and compact, but will open up. - Walter Speller
