    Ampeleia 2016, Ampeleia

    Topvinen fra ejendommen lavet på druer dyrket mellem 200 og 600 moh. Hoveddruen er Cabernet Franc, blandet med Sangiovese og andre middelhavssorter (Grenache, Carignan, Alicante, Marselan).  Dyrket biodynamisk (certificeret øko) og vinificeret så naturligt som muligt: ingen tilsætning af gær, ikke filtreret. Gæret og lagret på cement og egetræ og flasket med minimal svovl. 

    Mediumfyldig vin med ret koncentreret brombær og solbær i duften. Flot struktureret med dybde, kompleksitet og længde og med en dejlig friskhed, der kendetegner vinene fra Ampeleia.

    Dejlig vin og god madvin, der klarer selv ret kraftige kødretter - fremhæver god mad frem for at overdøve den. Prøv den til enkle lammeserveringer med skysauce.

    Ampeleia er en stor farm i Maremma ved kysten i det sydlige Toscana. Der dyrkes vin på 35 ha i tre højder ved byen Roccatederighi. Der dyrkes biodynamisk og Elisabetta Foradori er involveret i både dyrkning og vinificering.

    The 2016 Ampeleia is an organic expression of Cabernet Franc made with 10% whole-cluster fruit and fermented in a combination of large oak casks and cement. Fruit is drawn from a high-altitude site with calcareous clay soils, representing the best of Roccatederighi (the town where this winery is located). This vintage reveals sharpness and focus with cherry, wild berry and cassis. At the back, it offers distinctive notes of licorice, tar and crushed stone.     Funkelndes, sattes Rubin. Präsentiert sich in der Nase mit einem satten Gewürzteppich, nach Zimt, Nelken und Koriander, dann viel Himbeerfrucht. Viel saftige, reife Beerenfrucht am Gaumen, Himbeere, öffnet sich mit griffigem, präsentem Tannin, dicht und tief.

    The flagship 2014 Ampeleia is a bold, pungent wine. Wild and at times a bit unrestrained, Ampeleia has a lot going on. Sweet red cherry, herb, rose petal mint and and a host of intensely floral notes from the Cabernet Franc, which is the core of the blend, are all finely woven in the glass.
